What Is UPAJAK?
Upajak (Upadacitinib) is a generic version of RINVOQ which is a selective Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor used to treat inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ulcerative colitis, atopic dermatitis, and ankylosing spondylitis. How UPAJAK Works ?

Before Prescribing Upajak
Before starting treatment with Updacitinib, consider the following evaluations:

Tuberculosis (TB): Check for active or latent TB. If positive, treat TB before starting Upadacitinib.

Hepatitis screening: Screen for hepatitis B and C. Do not start Upadacitinib in patients with active hepatitis B or C.

Complete blood count: Do not start if:

Lymphocyte count < 500 cells/mm³

Neutrophil count < 1000 cells/mm³

Hemoglobin < 8 g/dL

Liver function: Avoid use in patients with severe liver impairment (Child-Pugh C).

Pregnancy: Confirm pregnancy status in women of reproductive potential.
